Privacy policy

Plumber Sites builds and hosts websites for plumbing businesses. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it. It covers plumber-sites.com and the websites we host for plumbers.
Information plumbers give us
- Account details: your name, email, and phone number.
- Business details for your website: business name, phone, address, services, prices, hours, reviews, photos, and anything else you enter in the builder. Most of this is meant to be shown publicly on your site.
- Payment: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we keep only the Stripe customer and subscription IDs needed to manage your plan.
While you use the builder, your draft is saved in your own browser so you can come back to it. The details you type are sent to our server to draw the live preview, but your site isn't saved on our side until you check out. Photos and logos are stored on our server as soon as you upload them.
Questions sent through our contact form
If you send us a question on plumber-sites.com, we collect your name, email, and message. We use them only to answer you and send you a confirmation email.
Information from customers who use a plumber's website
When someone sends a booking request through a plumber's website, we collect what they enter: name, phone number, ZIP code, the kind of help they need, how soon, and any details they add. We store it and send it to that plumber by email (and text, if the plumber turned that on) so they can respond. The plumber decides how to follow up; we don't use these requests for anything else.
Technical information
Like most websites, our servers briefly process technical details such as IP addresses and the pages requested, to deliver pages, prevent spam on booking forms, and keep the service secure. We don't use advertising or analytics trackers, and we don't set tracking cookies.
Who we share it with
We don't sell personal information or share it for advertising. We use a small number of service providers to run Plumber Sites, and they handle data only to provide their service to us:
- DigitalOcean hosts our servers and backups in the United States.
- Stripe processes payments.
- Resend delivers emails, such as booking notifications and account emails.
- Twilio delivers text alerts, only if a plumber turns them on.
- Font and icon providers (Fontshare, Google Fonts, and unpkg) serve the typefaces and icons our pages load, so they see the visitor's IP address when a page loads.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep account, website, and booking-request data while your subscription is active. After you cancel, or anytime you ask, we'll delete it. Our backups are overwritten on a rolling basis, within about a month.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we have about you. Customers who sent a booking request can ask the plumber directly, or ask us. Email dan@plumber-sites.com.
Security
Every page is served over an encrypted (https) connection, our admin tools require a password, and our servers are limited to the access they need. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
Plumber Sites is a business service and isn't meant for children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above, and we'll email account holders about significant changes.
